  • Organizer 2005 - Sept. 2005 - An educational trip to Finland in collaboration with the leading biomass boiler manufacturer, Kvaerner Power Inc, North Carolina, USA and a leading research institute of Finland, VTT, for a group of delegates representing British Columbia’s Ministry of Forests, BC Hydro, Edmonton Power Company (Epcor), and Tolko (a forestry company). The trip involved a visit to the 240 MWe biomass power plant in Finland (the largest in the world) and forestry operations for large scale biomass collection.
