Pitched First Nations hydrogen pipeline has potential for Alberta, but details still thin: experts

Dr. Amit Kumar provided comment on a pitched hydrogen pipeline: A coalition of Treaty 5 First Nations plans to create the Wáwátéwák Corridor, which would include a hydrogen pipeline, a power transmission line, a fibre-optic network and an all-weather road between Alberta and Manitoba.

The project could provide renewable energy, economic development, and infrastructure for the region, especially for small rural and remote communities. It could also reduce greenhouse gas emissions by using hydrogen instead of fossil fuels.
