Teaching Philosophy

The primary goal of a professor is to prepare students with the skills, knowledge, and experience for them to expand their critical thinking to be successful in their chosen careers and lives. My teaching philosophy is different for undergraduate and graduate students. The main focus for undergraduate students should be to build a strong conceptual base for engineering and to accompany concepts learned in class with practical examples of industry. The main aim with graduate students should be on research and exploration. Project work is emphasized and writing research articles is encouraged.
